About Us

As a full-service financial institution, North Sydney Credit Union is not owned by outside shareholders, but by members from our very own community. We have approximately 2000 members and over $24 million in assets. When you become a member, you are investing in yourself, you will have a voice on how your finances are managed.  At North Sydney Credit Union, our members are our top priority. When it comes to banking and managing your money, we are focused on you and your financial well-being. You can always expect sound advice from our financial experts. Your financial success is our financial success.

Established on October 18, 1937, North Sydney Credit Union has grown to offer all the services a member requires through innovation and response to our member's needs. We take the time to really understand your goals, dreams and priorities, and we work hard to tailor our products and services to meet your needs, rather than fitting you into a one-size-fits-all product. Our complete, attractive package of products and services will allow you to meet your everyday banking requirements as well as assist you in planning for your future security. We offer loans, mortgages, chequing, MasterCard® products, RRSPs, RESPs, Internet Banking, investments, retirement planning and much more.

Becoming a member simply requires a Your share account of $5.00. This will be on deposit in your Equity Share Account and will remain on deposit with North Sydney Credit Union for as long as you are a member.  Choose a financial institution where the very ownership structure is designed to service your needs in the best way and where there is a real commitment to providing you with the skills and information you need to help you realize your financial goals. Let us show you how a focused approach is a better way to bank.
